I just want to know what the symptoms of hemophilia are, the diagnosis, the genetic patterns of inheritance, and whether or not there is a cure (is there one being worked on?). Thank you for your help! Asked by stickytombo - Wed Nov 12 11:52:45 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Hemophilia is a genetic disorder. The symptoms are easy bruising, prolonged bleeding and in some cases can lead to death. Most hemophiliacs fall under the heading of Factor 8 ( hemophilia A) or Factor 9 (hemophilia b). The factor simply put is the clotting that they are lacking. Factor 8 is the most common. It is important to remember that like many things there is not just one type of Hemophilia. I heard my mom talking to my dad last night, telling him that her brother has dual diagnosis. I was just wondering how grave that is. Asked by adreanna zz - Tue May 29 04:12:31 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Dual diagnosis is an ailment that involves substance abuse and a psychological problem. This means that your uncle is very emotionally imbalanced, and would need a lot of treatment to get better. Treating dual diagnosis is a complicated process because treating one disorder would not mean that the other will eventually go away. Intense medical treatment, and probably inpatient rehabilitation for months are probably what your uncle needs. Q. I play soccer but i have a fierse pain in my both legs starting from my joint up on my tigh to my ankle. I have seen two doctors, but i didn't see any change with my legs. So, i am planning to have a diagnosis with ultrasound, and any body have this kind of experiance before? please help! Asked by duchesam - Sun Apr 27 11:23:19 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. From what you relay in the pain I would see a neurologist if you haven't . Sounds like a nerve problem if it runs along the thigh and down to the ankle as your nerves go to your toes. Get to that type of dr. They may do some xrays or just some testing in their office and best tell you what to do for it then. An ultrasound is used to rule out any growth usually or some other visible factor that may interfere. IF you don't feel any lump that is along there I would opt to see a neurologist. They deal with the nerves in the body and best tell how to help this.
